Video game developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are claiming that the coming Star Wars: Battlefront shooter will deliver a complete experience based on the original trilogy of movies, and apparently that will include missions custom made to show the power of the Empire.

The companies have been asking gamers who they plan to pledge their allegiance to on Facebook, and the answers to some of their questions are suggesting that one mode or a number of special missions will include special elements for the faction.

For the Rebels, DICE is creating the survival experience, which asks gamers to work together in order to get through waves of attacking forces that increase in power with each new assault.

For the Empire, the format would not be suited, given the power that it can marshal to crush enemies, but the development team is apparently set to offer details about the other modes in the coming weeks.

Lately, DICE has been focusing on the Rebel side when it comes to reveals, showing gamers how capable Luke Skywalker can be on the battlefield, but plenty of gamers will certainly want to experience the power of the faction that tried to build the Death Star.

Star Wars: Battlefront will stay as true to the movies as possible

DICE has managed to get access to the LucasFilm sets and props in order to have a high degree of realism in their titles, using entirely new tech to scan equipment and to re-create planets like Hoth or Endor.

The team is also exploring other resources to offer their own vision on new places like Sulluth, which has not been shown before.

The shooter will have a lower barrier of entry than Battlefield has, and DICE wants to make sure that all fans of the universe will be able to find a role to play and jump right into combat to have fun.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be out on November 17 and can be played on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PC.

A piece of free downloadable content called Battle of Jakku, which is linked to The Force Awakens, will be introduced on December 1 for those who place a pre-order and one week later for everyone else.
