A few days ago, we reported that Google might be working with Huawei on a successor to Nexus 7. While there wasn't much information on this project, it seems that the specs of the upcoming tablet have leaked, revealing some important details.

Some say that Google and Huawei's upcoming tablet might be called the Nexus 7P, considering that it's a successor to the Nexus 7, released quite a while ago. However, Google is said to have ditched the Nexus branding on its two upcoming phones, which will reportedly be called Pixel and Pixel XL. It's quite unsure what the name of the upcoming tablet will be, but thanks to HuaweiBlog, some of its specs have been revealed.

It seems that the tablet's screen size will measure 7 inches. To be more precise, we're talking about an AMOLED Quad HD display, which means 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. The report states that it will come with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with Adreno 530 graphics processing unit.

The SD820 has been used in many flagship and high-end devices over the past year, but it's not the latest processor model from Qualcomm, seeing how the company has already announced the SD821.

The tablet could come with 4GB of RAM and a 13MP rear camera

A powerful processor would also need enough RAM capacity to make it worthwhile, and the upcoming tablet could very well pack 4GB of RAM, as the report mentions. Internal storage might reach 64GB, which is enough for important files and media content. However, it's unclear at this point if the device will come with a microSD port, but it most likely will.

The tablet might also sport a 13MP rear camera, supposedly with some advanced features for snapping pics and recording videos, but details on enhancements haven't been provided yet.

It's worth mentioning that the specs are based on a pre-production model, which means that some changes could occur before the final product is released. Battery capacity hasn't been disclosed, and considering that the tablet comes from Google, it's most likely that it will run Android 7.0 or 7.1, depending on when it will be released.

Google is said to host a major event on October 4, for the unveiling of Pixel and Pixel XL, and the company may very well make some announcements on the upcoming tablet as well.
