Anyway, it looks like Sony's flagship won't be available for purchase anytime soon. At least three UK retailers list the Xperia XZ Premium and they all say the smartphone will arrive in stock in early June.
For example, Unlocked-mobiles has the Xperia XZ Premium on pre-order for £640, while Amazon UK and Clove sell the phone for slightly more, at £650. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone won't ship until the first week of June, although Amazon claims the Xperia XZ Premium will arrive exactly on June 1.
The reason behind the late release might be related to the fact that the Xperia XZ Premium is equipped with the most powerful chipset available on the market, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.
This particular chipset won't be widely available for commercial use until late April, which coincides with the Galaxy S8's release on the market. Even so, it looks like Sony needs another month to ramp up production of its Xperia XZ Premium flagship.
If you feel like waiting for Sony's top-of-the-line product, then you should know the smartphone boasts an impressive 5.46-inch IPS display that supports 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating.
On the inside, the phone packs 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage (up to 256GB). Another major selling point of the Xperia XZ Premium could be the 19-megapixel rear-facing camera that features EIS, predictive phase detection, and laser autofocus.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium is expected to ship with the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system right out of the box, but it will also qualify for another major OS update that might arrive early next year.
