14 DAY TRIAL // Sony’s Concept for Android program, released two years ago, brings timely software updates to Xperia X Concept smartphones for owners to test out and check out the latest features. The newest Xperia X Concept update brings March security patch and X-Reality feature for video.
The update carries the build number 38.3.1.A.0.54 and brings several new features including X-Reality for video. The feature has been available on Xperia smartphones, except for Xperia X Concept. X-Reality allows users to make some image enhancement adjustments and improve the viewing quality of photos and videos, delivering clearer, sharper and more natural images.
Users can also pick from a Super-vivid mode for media content, one that would minimize colors while viewing pictures and videos, thus displaying surreal, vibrant and very vivid images.
VoLTE support is back in the latest Concept update
Aside from a new image enhancement mode, Sony also included VoLTE support on the latest update. In the previous build, Sony removed VoLTE support, after the company encountered some problems with this feature on German operators. Sony did announce that the move was temporary, only until the issues would be fixed, and it seems that the company didn’t take long to solve them.
The latest build also brings improved adaptive brightness and fixes a bug that occurred when users restarted the phone while in Low Battery Mode. Android security patch for March is also included in the update. The latest build is currently rolling out to Xperia X Concept users and a new update is due soon.
In the previous update, Sony introduced glove mode, which allows users to perform various tasks on their Xperia X Concept phones while wearing gloves. Users can swipe and tap the screen, even if their hands are covered. LDAC support was also made available, offering users the tools to enjoy high-resolution audio content over a Bluetooth connection.
