14 DAY TRIAL // Japanese handset maker Sony Mobile has been testing Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Xperia Z5 lineup for quite a while now, but that seems to be a thing of the past since the update is not available for download in some countries.
Italian blog Android.HDblog reports that Sony Turkey has just confirmed that Android 6.0 Marshmallow rollout for Xperia Z5 has already begun in this country and will soon expand to other European countries.
Unfortunately, there's no telling which country will get it next and when exactly that will happen, but Sony wouldn't have started the rollout if it didn't plan a global push.
As many Sony Xperia fans probably know by now, the Xperia Z5 lineup won't be the only one to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow this year. Several older smartphones have already confirmed to get the update, including the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact.
The most recent one to get this confirmation was the Xperia M4 Aqua, which was initially launched on the market last year with Android 5.0 Lollipop onboard.
The upgrade is available for all Xperia Z5 series phones
Keep in mind that the update is finalized for all Xperia Z5 family smartphones, so regardless of what model you own (Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium or Xperia Z5 Compact), you will be getting the Marshmallow update soon.
If you own an Xperia Z5 family smartphone and live in Europe, you should start checking for the update since Sony won't make any official announcements regarding the availability of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Perhaps Sony's local branches will inform fans via social networks that the upgrade is now available for download, so you should be following those very close, too.
Even though Sony Mobile is not the last handset maker to provide Android 6.0 Marshmallow to its flagship smartphones, it surely took its time to release it. But, as the saying goes, better late than never.
