Sony recently unveiled an updated version of the 2015 A7R II mirrorless digital camera, the Sony A7R III, which appears to be Sony's most impressive full-frame mirrorless to date.

Featuring the same compact and lightweight design that Sony used us with, Sony A7R III weights only 652g and comes with a 42.4MP full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor. The mirrorless camera offers continuous shooting at up to 10 fps when using the H+ mode with either the Mechanical Shutter or Silent Shooting functionality, as well as with AF/AE tracking.

Talking about autofocus, the Sony A7R III sports no less than 399 phase-detection AF point that cover about 68 percent of the image area, as well as a total of 425 contrast AF points. It also improves the effectiveness of the Eye AF feature, which Sony now claims it's 2x faster than on the previous model. Of course, Sony A7R III comes with the same built-in 5-axis optical image stabilization feature.

Available November 2017 in Europe for €3500

Sony promises to offer photographers a 5.5 step shutter speed advantage with its new full-frame mirrorless camera, and also brings 4K video shooting with full pixel readout and without pixel binning. The Sony A7R III has been redesigned for the professional photographer, and comes with extended battery life, dual SD card slots, a USB Type-C port, and a more faster AF.
