Lucky customers receiving the phone as we speak

Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy S10 on February 20 at the company’s own Unpacked event, and shipments for those who pre-ordered it were supposed to kick off on March 8.

But as it turns out, the timing when customers receive the Galaxy S10 depends on their region and how lucky they are, as while some people are already getting the phone as we speak, others may experience a small delay.

The Galaxy S10 is already being shipped in markets like China, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia, while in the United States, pre-ordering the device now comes with an estimated delivery date of March 22.

Most likely, the shipping time depends on the available inventory in each region, so I’m guessing that those who are receiving the phone already pre-ordered it in a market where demand isn’t as high as Samsung anticipated.

Galaxy S10+, seemingly the best-selling model

In the United States, for example, there’s a good chance that sales are going strong and the available stock doesn’t match the number of orders. Most likely, the shipping time will be improved significantly in the coming days when Samsung updates stock information and produces more units.

Samsung Galaxy S10 comes in three versions, namely the S10e, the standard S10, and the S10+. As it turns out, the S10+ is the best-selling model so far, though this is an estimate based on shipping times provided by Samsung’s online store only.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised for this model to actually be the most successful given that it comes with the best hardware in the entire lineup, despite the rather high prices. The Galaxy S10+ is available in the United States from $999, and the pricing increases as you add more storage.

We’ll continue to monitor shipping estimates for the Galaxy S10, and let us know if you receive the device earlier than originally projected.
