This is the second major update in less than a week

We reported last week that the team behind Slack had released a major update to their Windows Phone application. One of the most important new features included in the update was support for animated GIFs.

Even though less than a week has passed since the release of the update, developers have decided to launch another beta version of Slack for Windows Phone.

This new version is supposed to add another important new feature, but also many bug fixes that should address issues that have been introduced by the previous update, WMPU reports.

The only new feature included in this update is multi-team support. The new feature is now available right next to all the channels in the user's team.

Aside from multi-team support, developers also fixed some issues with the beta version of their Windows Phone application. First of all, an issue with the app being unresponsive after signing out and signing back has been addressed in this update.

The static GIFs issue should be fixed in this update

Also, another problem with animated GIFs that were appearing as static images has been solved as well, so you should try this feature after the update.

According to the official changelog, tapping the icon of a file in details should no longer have a bad behavior. Many Slack users on Windows Phone platform might remember that older Group Messages would disappear after a while. This update should fix this issue, and all Groups Messages should be visible now.

Last but not least, situations where users were unable to receive MPDM notification have been addressed (hopefully) as well.

If you don't have the application yet, you can now download Slack Beta for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8.1 and up.
