Apple is projected to take the wraps off the iPhone 12 in September this year, and one of the highlights could be a refined design that’s based on the iPhone 4.

In other words, Apple could give up on the curved sides for straight edges that remind of the iPhone 4, a change that have long been requested by customers worldwide.

And a new set of renders published by Svetapple imagine this new iPhone 12 with a refined design, as well as a new Navy Blue color that makes the whole thing look even more fabulous.

Of course, the renders also include a bunch of other rumored changes, including the smaller notch and an upgraded camera on the Pro models, with the flash now placed in the center of the camera bump for a more consistent and symmetrical approach.

Four iPhones coming this year

Whether or not the iPhone 12 would look anything like this is something that remains to be seen, but it goes without saying that the renders are marvelous and Apple would really do itself a favor should it decide its designers to check them out too.

In the meantime, what we do know is that Apple plans to launch a series of 4 different iPhones this year, all of them supposed to come with 5G support.

The smaller iPhone will be a new 5.4-inch version that will specifically target those who want extra portability and a phone that’s easier to carry around, and given the smaller bezels and the available screen estate, this one could be just as big as the new iPhone SE.

Then, there are two different 6.1-inch iPhones planned, one as a successor to the iPhone 11 and an upgraded iPhone 11 Pro model. The top-of-the-range will be the iPhone 12 Pro Max that will feature a larger screen measuring 6.7 inches.
