14 DAY TRIAL // Selena Gomez is gearing up for the release of her brand new studio album, “Revival,” which will drop on October 9 but is already available for pre-order. Fans who pre-order it now get a free copy of the second single off it, “Same Old Love,” which just got an official music video.

Directed by Michael Haussman and shot at the Palace Theater in Downtown LA a short while ago, the video features actual fans of Selena, who appear at the end, when her character finally makes it to the stage where she’s supposed to perform. It was shot during a fan meet-and-greet type of event.
Rumor has it that “Same Old Love” is inspired by Selena’s on-and-off romance with Justin Bieber, and if you listen to the lyrics, you will see this could very well be true. In recent interviews, Selena did say that “Revival” was her most personal release to date, so it would make sense for her to draw on her own experiences when putting it together.
“Same Old Love” is the second single off it, with “Good for You” being the leading single. Selena also admitted she was eager to have the new album out there to the fans, comparing the waiting until the release date to an expectant mother’s sense of anticipation when she’s 9 months pregnant and she feels like she can’t wait any more to meet her new baby.
