14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this year, in April, Selena Gomez became the unlikely target of weight-shaming, after paparazzi photos of her in a swimsuit, on vacation, emerged online. According to mean comments posted online, on social media in particular, she was suddenly “too fat” and unattractive.
Selena is shutting those fat-shamers down in the best way possible: by showing them that they were wrong. A couple of days ago, Selena had another paparazzi photo-op (which may have been planned, by the looks of the pics), and she showed off her slim figure in a very flattering black, cut-out one-piece.

To her credit, Selena didn’t let the fat talk bring her down. In fact, as celebrity pundits were having a blast mocking her for gaining a few pounds, she responded with a photo of herself smiling, which she tagged with #TheresMoreToLove.
Again to her credit, she continued with her life, refusing to lend an ear to negative buzz coming at her from the Internet.
As work on her new album started picking up and her schedule became busier, she eventually lost the extra weight she was carrying, which is obvious in this new photo-op. The Daily Mail has more photos, if the one above is not convincing enough for you.
Even if she didn’t call the paparazzi in advance to let them know where she’d be so they could come to take her picture (as many celebrities are known to have done whenever they have something to show or promote), Selena is reaping the results of the photo-op: as we speak, the photos are getting her warm praises from big celebrity outlets.

Speaking of the photos, the aforementioned British tab notes that Selena seems to be sporting new ink. She has the symbol “Om” on one of her hips, which is believed to “clear the mind of thoughts and distractions should it be chanted.”
On the other hip, she has in cursive “God Who Strengthens Me,” which is also believed to be a new piece.
In recent weeks, eagle-eyed observers noticed that she’d gotten an initial under one of her ears, but it’s unclear yet what it is and what it stands for.
Selena’s other tattoos include the number 76 in Roman Numerals on the back of her neck, the inscription “Love Yourself First” in Arabic, and a musical note on the wrist.
