Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez might not be a couple anymore but that’s not to say they’ve cut all ties. The two dated on and off between 2011 and 2014, and reportedly parted ways on less than amicable terms, but they still found it in their heart to work together after all this.

Over the weekend, for the briefest period of time, a Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez collaboration popped up online. It’s no longer available, unfortunately, which probably means that it was just a demo or that it came out at the wrong time.

However, since it exists and mostly because it generated massive interest on social media, chances are we will hear a finished version of it very, very soon.

The timing is also perfect: Selena has a new album out now, “Revival,” and Justin is gearing for the release of his latest studio material, “Purpose.”

The song is called “Strong” and it’s a moody ballad about the difficulties of making a long-distance relationship work.

“What should I do? Should I go? / Who do I talk to? Nobody knows,” Justin sings. “Wishing I was better at this damn thing / Cause it’s just been too long and I can’t change,” Selena responds on another verse.

In some of her most recent interviews, Selena explained how much it pained her when she became a tabloid fixture because of her relationship with Justin and how she wished the association would go away. While that may still be the case, she’s clearly OK with exploiting the association to sell new music.
