The sequel to the fastest-selling, best-selling, and most played version of the Football Manager series to date across all of its release platforms is getting a release timeframe. Football Manager 2020 is coming this year as a launch title for a new title – Google Stadia, which will most likely be the fastest way to experience the game.

As the title says, we're only given a release timeframe, not an exact date, but we can work with that as well. So, Football Manager 2020 will release for PC, Mac, and Stadia in early November. To make things even more appealing for the series' fans, SEGA announced the game will be released simultaneously on iOS and Android as well, so those who prefer to play Football Manager 2020 on smaller screens will be able to do so in early November.

However, the Nintendo Switch version of the game won't be ready for prime time until late November, but that's not a very long time to wait.

Football Manager on Stadia includes technology that is only available on that platform, utilizing the power of the cloud and Google's data centers to ensure that more matches can be processed in parallel utilizing spare bandwidth across the whole system – this means you can have more leagues loaded into your save, or just go for a faster experience by keeping the amount of leagues the same, but having the matches process quicker than you can on any other platform,” said Miles Jacobson, Studio Director of Sports Interactive.

Just like in the previous games, Football Manager 2020 lets players select their teams, transfer the players they want and choose the tactics that fit their playstyles. Along with the launch timeframe announcement, SEGA and Sports Interactive have released the first trailer for the game.

The trailer doesn't reveal any of the key features, but SEGA promises that more information about Football Manager 2020 will be revealed in mid-September through the game's official website.

And for those who can't wait to get their hands on the game, SEGA announced that fans who pre-purchase Football Manager 2020 (for PC and Mac), from a SEGA approved digital retailer (or pre-order from a participating physical retailer) will receive a 10% discount.

On top of that, those who pre-purchase through a SEGA approved digital retailer will be able to get their managerial careers underway early through a fully-playable Beta version, which will be available roughly two weeks prior to the official street date (single player careers started in the Beta can be carried across to the full game). The pre-release Beta will not be available on Stadia.
