14 DAY TRIAL // The critically-acclaimed fantasy strategy game Endless Legend is now free to play until March 30, developer Amplitude Studios announced. The game can be downloaded for free via Steam, but you won't get to keep if after March 30.
Also, Amplitude Studios announced that one of the older expansion packs – Guardians is now available for free via Games2Gether, so if you already have the base game but you're missing this expansion, you can now get it for free. The Guardians expansion pack unleashes ancient, giant Guardians on the planet of Auriga. The expansion includes 10 Legendary Deeds, 10 Global Events, and cooperative & competitive quests.
One other important thing worth mentioning for fans of Amplitude Studios' portfolio, there's a franchise-wide Steam sales event live right now, which lets players buy various titles for up to 75% off from now through March 30.
In Endless Legend, you take controls of one of 8 or more civilizations, each with a unique gameplay style and storyline. You'll be completing quests and exploring an endlessly replayable randomly generated world.
Since various factions struggle for dominance, you need to expand your empire before the others by growing food, building industry, advancing science and magic, and collecting wealth. Conquer, build, and develop villages into powerful fortresses and cities, as well as assimilate minor factions and hire and train heroes to become leaders and governors.
Of course, Endless Legend wouldn't be a great game without having a pretty solid diplomacy aspect. That is if you choose to master diplomacy over exterminating your enemies using your armies.
