Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Note 7 flagship yesterday, in New York, with similar events organized in major cities from all over the world. It seems that another Samsung smartphone made an appearance during the event held in Africa, namely Samsung Z2.

Rumors about the Samsung Z2 have been surfacing online for quite some time now, as a video showing the device in all of its glory has recently leaked. Aside from this, supposed specs of the upcoming handset have surfaced online.

The image captured during the Samsung event in Africa shows the Indian version of the Samsung Z2, preloaded with local applications like Jabong, Indiatimes, and OLX, according to TechWeez. It also depicts the phone in a gold color variant with the front and back panels. The camera bump on the back is also visible, together with the volume button on the side of the phone.

Samsung Z2 will be the first Tizen device to come with 4G LTE

The Samsung Z2 is said to be the first Tizen smartphone in Africa while rumored specs indicate that it's not as advanced as the Z3 but has more features than the Z1. In addition, the handset has a 4-inch AMOLED display and 1GB of RAM, with a design that's similar to the previous Tizen phones.

Images show that the smartphone won't be as thin as one would expect, but it will support 4G LTE and will come with a 32-bit quad-core CPU and 2,000mAh battery.

The device is also rumored to launch in India and come with Samsung's My Money Transfer app for making money transfers between different banks. It's also believed to feature S Bike Mode, which would help users automatically respond to messages and calls while they are driving.

At this point, it's unclear when Samsung will actually release the Samsung Z2, but since so much information has leaked online, it won't be long.
