14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung is the company that’s spearheading the foldable push, and in addition to launching new models that come with upgraded specs and everything else, the South Koreans are also focusing on special-edition models that come with exclusive goodies.
For example, Samsung is now getting ready to launch a Pokemon-branded foldable smartphone in its domestic market, though there’s a chance the device will only see the daylight as part of a very limited edition.
The Galaxy Z Flip3 Pokemon Edition is projected to launch in South Korea in some 4 days, and unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t offered any information as to whether it may be planning to start selling the same device in other regions out there as well.
Most likely, it is not, so only South Koreans will be allowed to order this limited-edition phone.
While pricing information isn’t available right now, we should obviously expect the Galaxy Z Flip3 Pokemon Edition to be more expensive than the standard model.
Only launching in South Korea
This makes sense not only because the device is part of a limited-edition series but also because it comes with exclusive goodies. As per SamMobile, the package will include the mobile device itself, a Pikachu Clear Cover Set, a Pokemon Pouch with a lanyard strap, a Pokemon Custom Pack, a Pikachu keychain, and a Poke Ball-shaped stand.
Needless to say, Samsung is also offering a series of additional customization options, including the opportunity to personalize the Pikachu Clear Cover. The phone comes pre-loaded with special themes, ringtones, and wallpapers.
Of course, the parent company hasn’t offered any information as to how many units it plans to sell, so if you live in South Korea and plan on buying this upcoming Galaxy Z Flip3, you’d better order it the moment it becomes available.
