Samsung is projected to take the wraps off the next-generation Galaxy S model as soon as January, and while the company has remained completely tight-lipped on everything related to this device, it keeps dropping hint after hint that the S21 is just around the corner.

Today, the South Koreans have started getting pre-order reservations for the Galaxy S21 in the United States, with customers receiving $50 in credit towards accessories, as well as an extra $10 in the Android Shop Samsung app.

“Pre-order the next Galaxy using the Shop Samsung app for an additional $10 instant credit – a total of $60 off add-ons like watches, earbuds, etc.,” Samsung explains.

In addition, Samsung is also providing customers with an extra 5 percent discount with Samsung Discounts, but also with a new trade-in program that allows users to give up on their current phones to purchase the upcoming S21 at a lower price.

Samsung is giving up to $700 in trade-in value towards the purchase of a Galaxy S21, though it goes without saying only the latest-generation high-end models qualify for so much credit.

Samsung Galaxy S21 launching in January

Samsung is projected to take the wraps off the Galaxy S21 in mid-January, with sales to then kick off later the same month.

It’s likely the company would hold the Unpacked event on January 14, while the actual sales would go live on January 29 or January 30. Samsung says its pre-order reservations are available until January 28, and this is indeed an indication the actual sales would begin a day later.

The January 2021 Unpacked event is also likely to witness the introduction of other devices, including new watches and Galaxy earbuds.

Samsung has remained completely tight-lipped on its Galaxy S21 plans so far, and while a certain amount of skepticism is still required, everything is all but confirmed now.
