The days when we just opened the door of the fridge and looked inside to grab something to eat are long gone.

The new-generation fridges come with all kinds of features that you didn’t even know you want, and Samsung now wants to push everything to a completely new level.

The company’s so-called Bespoke Refrigerator Family Hub Plus, which will be showcased at CES next month, comes with a display that measures no more, no less than 32 inches.

As if this wasn’t already crazy enough, the purpose of this screen is to allow users to watch… TikTok, as for some reason, Samsung believes this is a niche that can bring home the bacon. In other words, the South Korean thinks fridge owners want to watch TikTok videos, because why shouldn’t they?

In addition, the gigantic screen also allows users to order groceries from Amazon, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that the TikTok experience is abandoned. Not at all, as Samsung has developed multi-tasking support, so users can minimize the videos and watch them in a pop-up window while they shop on Amazon.

Of course, Samsung’s new fridge comes with all kinds of other features, including support for watching TV. The Samsung TV plus service is also available on the fridge, and in theory, this should provide users with access to no more, no less than 190 TV channels in the United States.

While the fridge is going to be showcased at CES in January, the company has remained tight-lipped on how much the device is going to cost when it becomes available for customers. But with TikTok getting closer to a ban in the United States, Samsung should better rethink how it wants to advertise the new fridge and its gigantic screen.
