Samsung has recently released a new beta of Samsung Internet browser, as the company is working on another major update for the app.

Samsung Internet 19 beta is therefore available for download right now, coming with lots of improvements, including for the smart anti-tracking capabilities.

The app already sports advanced features to block cross-site trackers and phishing attempts, but beginning with this update, Samsung says it’ll use AI to increase the efficiency even further.

“This latest iteration of Samsung Internet will take the AI-powered function a step further. Enhanced Smart anti-tracking aims to detect domains that collude with classified trackers and immediately apply protection. Improved lookalike phishing detection is designed to warn users when they have unwittingly navigated to what they thought was a trusted website but is a fraudulent site using a similar URL — so they don’t reveal personal information to malicious actors,” Samsung explains.

Sync features with Google Chrome browser

In addition, the lock icon in the address bar will now provide additional tracking protection information, so users can find out fast how many trackers have been blocked and whether the connection to a certain website is secure or not.

The new version of the browser comes with additional navigation improvements as well, with the add-ons menu getting further refinements.

“The Add-ons menu is a great way for users to personalize and enhance their browsing experience. With Samsung Internet 19.0 beta, these add-ons now work in Secret mode, so users don’t need to choose between privacy and customized experiences. The features can be turned on and off easily from the Add-ons menu, for greater control,” Samsung explains.

And of course, the syncing capabilities are getting a boost too, as Samsung Internet’s Chrome extension now allows users to sync their bookmarks with Chrome browser running on a computer in a matter of seconds.
