Samsung is one of the world's top smartphone manufacturers, and it offers both powerful high-end devices and affordable entry-level handsets. Now, the South Korean company has just released another phone, the Galaxy J1 Ace Neo, which has some decent specs for an entry-level device and is available in multiple colors.

Just a few days ago, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy J2 (2016), a revamped version of last year's model, and the Galaxy J Max with a 7-inch display. Recently, the company also debuted the Galaxy J1 Ace Neo, and the entry-level smartphone is available on Samsung's website in South Africa.

The Galaxy J1 Ace Neo (SM-J111) comes with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of just 800 x 480 pixels. It also incorporates a 1.5GHz quad-core Spreadrum SC8830 processor, coupled with only 1GB of RAM. Internal memory is 8GB, with the option to expand to 128GB using a microSD card.

In addition, it comes with a 5MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, autofocus, LED flash, and HD video recording. The front-facing camera has a capacity of 2MP, and the handset sports a SIM card slot and support for LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and microUSB 2.0 port.

Galaxy J1 Ace Neo runs Android Lollipop 5.1

The smartphone draws power from a removable 1,900mAh battery and provides you with Power Saving Mode. The mode allows users to limit battery use when placing phone calls, sending messages or accessing the Internet.

Galaxy J1 Ace Neo runs Android Lollipop 5.1, which is quite surprising, considering that Google released Android Marshmallow 6.0 almost a year ago, and Nougat 7.0 is underway. The smartphone measures 130.1 x 67.6 x 9.5 and weighs 131 grams.

Samsung has made the Galaxy J1 Ace Neo available in multiple colors, including Black, Blue, and White. Pricing information is currently unavailable at this point.
