Company claims rival product is "ah-mazing"

Everybody knows Samsung is one of the leading companies in the smartphone battle, as its devices are selling like hotcakes pretty much everywhere around the world.

As the world’s number one phone maker, Samsung manufactures some of the best devices out there, and its flagship models are considered at least as good as the products coming from rival Apple.

At the same time, the South Korean company is investing big in a form factor that Apple is yet to embrace. Foldables have become one of Samsung’s top priorities, with new models announced on an annual basis with significant improvements.

Earlier this week, Samsung provided the world with more proof it loves foldables. In fact, it turns out it loves foldables so much it even praises rivals who are investing in this form factor.

As spotted by 9to5Google, Samsung praised the Oppo Find N on Twitter, calling it an “ah-mazing” device. The OnePlus Find N is a foldable device itself, so it’s not clear if Samsung actually wanted to praise this form factor and thus show the world this is the future or someone believed it was actually a Samsung device.

Other Samsung blunders

Nevertheless, this isn’t the first time when Samsung’s social media teams cause embarrassing blunders.

Back in 2018, the South Korean company posted on Twitter using an iPhone. The whole thing went viral, and Samsung didn’t take it very well, with the company eventually deleting the account it used to post the message, obviously fueling the whole buzz that was started after it got caught using an iPhone.

At this point, the tweet praising Oppo’s foldable is still online, and it doesn’t look like Samsung wants to remove it this time.

If anything, let’s just say the company’s intention was to praise the foldable form factor, no matter the name of the company that’s committed to it.
