We’ve known for a while that Android feels at home on Windows 11, but the release of the Moment 2 update brings additional improvements to this experience.

Most of them are aimed at Samsung phone users. Once the smartphone is paired with Windows 11 via Phone Link, the operating system now provides access to additional content.

Including browsing sessions, that is, as Samsung phone owners can transfer their websites to Windows 11 for uninterrupted browsing.

Furthermore, Microsoft has also updated Phone Link with phone hotspot integration. This way, you can enable this feature on the mobile device right from the Windows PC.

“Phone Link capabilities have been available to Android users for quite some time and we’re happy to share that we’re making the connection even stronger between an Android device and a Windows PC. With hundreds of thousands of reviews in the Microsoft Store, we are energized to hear that people are enjoying having instant access to everything they love on their phone on their Windows PC,” Microsoft’s Panos Panay explained.

“For those of you with a Samsung phone, we’ve made it easier to activate your phone’s personal hotspot with a single click from within the Wi-Fi network list on your PC. And with the Recent Websites feature, Samsung users can also now easily transfer their browser sessions from their smartphone to their Windows PC, allowing them to continue browsing effortlessly—a great way to stay in your flow.”

The new features are integrated into the latest version of the Phone Link app, and they can be used by Android users whose Samsung phones are paired with Windows 11.

The Moment 2 update is now rolling out to users, with the automatic release to begin next month as part of the Patch Tuesday cycle.
