Many of you probably know by now that Samsung plans to offer a Samsung Gear VR headset with each Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge pre-order, but the information has yet to be confirmed by the South Korean company.

What you don't know is that Samsung might not be the only one to offer customers a free VR headset with the purchase of its smartphone.

According to VentureBeat, Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4s, which will be unveiled next week at MWC 2016, will provide customers a free VR experience.

The retail packaging of the Idol 4s can double as cardboard VR goggles, but it will be made of plastic instead. The image of the smartphone and the packaging provide us with proof that Alcatel OneTouch plans to announce the incentive at the trade fair.

If you wonder whether or not Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4s will be able to provide users with a smooth VR experience, then the answer is yes.

At under $400 price, this could be very popular among Android fans

Although the smartphone has yet to be officially introduced, we already know it will come equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, coupled with no less than 3GB of RAM.

Also, the OneTouch Idol 4s will boast a large 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

At the back, the high-end smartphone is said to feature a 16-megapixel photo snapper while in the front there should be a no-less-impressive 8-megapixel camera for state-of-the-art selfies and video calls.

Alcatel's device will pack 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded via microSD card slot. No mention about the battery yet, but rumor has it that it will be priced under $400 which makes it a great competitor for other flagship smartphones to be announced soon.
