The device will be very similar to the current models

While all eyes are currently on the new iPhone that’s projected to be announced in early September, Samsung is also working around the clock on finishing the development of its next big release.

The Galaxy S23 lineup is projected to go live in January or February, with sales to kick off shortly after the event.

Needless to say, many people out there expect the South Korean company to offer massive upgrades on all fronts, including here not only the hardware under the hood but also the design.

But according to well-known Samsung tipster Ice Universe, there’s little to be excited about in terms of design when it comes to the Galaxy S23. This is because both the S23 and the S23+ will be nearly identical to their Galaxy S22 siblings, as Samsung doesn’t seem to be planning any cosmetic upgrades.

Public launch in January

Furthermore, the new model will also use the same screen, cameras, and batteries, so at the end of the day, the only upgrade that will be notable on the Galaxy S23 is likely to be the new processor that Samsung plans to use.

“As for the S23 and S23+, they have the same design as the S22, even the middle frame has not changed. The same screen, the same sensor, the same camera, and the battery is estimated to be similar. Processor upgrade to 8Gen2,” Ice Universe explains.

The new Galaxy S lineup is very likely to be announced in early 2023, and of course, it’ll be a response to Apple’s new iPhone generation. The lack of hardware upgrades, however, suggests that Samsung could be betting big on the Ultra model, which right now, is also the version that’s taking the place of the almighty Note.

Of course, Samsung has remained completely tight-lipped on everything related to the Galaxy S23, so take the info with a pinch of salt for now.
