Samsung is one of the companies committed to the Windows 10 ecosystem, and after launching a Surface Book 2-in-1 device, it might be planning to unveil a successor as soon as this summer.

A device referred to as Samsung Galaxy Book Windows tablet has recently received Russian certification, and the official listing indicates that several variants are on their way. LetsGoDigital has come across model numbers SM-W737, SM-W738, SM-W737A, SM-W737N, SM-W737V, and SM-W738N, which are likely to be versions of the same device launched in different regions and with more capabilities like LTE.

Details are not available for the time being, and we doubt that Samsung would take the wraps off this model in early August when it unveils the new-generation Galaxy Note smartphone.

But on the other hand, there’s a good chance that the company wants to bring its new Windows 10 device to the market ahead of the back-to-school season in order to benefit from the growing sales in this industry.

Low-cost tablet maybe?

The Samsung Galaxy Book has never been a super-successful product, but instead it allowed the South Korean firm to be part of the 2-in-1 device push that’s driving forward PC sales these days.

It was available in two different versions, with 10.6- and 12.0-inch screens, and offered support for the Galaxy S Pen, which at this point is one of the most advanced alternatives to Microsoft’s very own Surface Pen sold with Surface models.

The device also featured high-end hardware like Intel Core i5 processors and up to 8GB RAM, and it’ll be interesting to see if this new tablet is built on the same approach or not. There’s a chance that Samsung wants to bring a more affordable model to the market in an attempt to expand in this price range as well, but we’ll find out more later this year when the launch is expected to take place.

Thanks, Mark!
