South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung surely knows how to capture customers’ attention with its flagship devices, but the company also has numerous options for other market ranges. A recent Zauba listing shows that Samsung might be working on a new version of the Galaxy Grand Prime.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) has recently appeared on Indian import export website Zauba, which signals that the South Korean giant might be working on yet another mid-range smartphone to counteract competition in this market segment.

Zauba isn't always the most reliable source of information, but the website did manage to hint at upcoming smartphone releases, even if some specs didn't match the one revealed during the official unveiling.

The Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) seems to be heading towards testing in India, as the listing indicates that Samsung has imported multiple SM-G532F units in the country. All imported units have a display size of 5 inches, but the resolution isn't specified.

Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) will be yet another mid-range smartphone from Samsung

As compared to its predecessor, Samsung's Galaxy Grand Prime will be a mid-range smartphone, but with more powerful specs compared to the original model. The first Galaxy Grand Prime came in 2014, nearly two years ago. It's quite interesting that Samsung would want to create a new iteration of this handset, two years after its initial release.

Nevertheless, the Galaxy Grand Prime came with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, but only supported qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution. In addition, it packed a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit chipset, with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Internal memory reached with 8GB, with the option to expand to more using a microSD card.

Rear camera capacity amounted to 8MP, with the phone also boasting autofocus, LED flash, and full HD video recording. It drew power from a 2,600mAh removable battery and ran Android 4.4.4 KitKat at the time. Besides, it came in multiple color variants.

The Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) will surely come with more powerful specs, with more information expected to arrive soon.
