After Apple launched the iPhone SE a few days ago, this week it was Samsung’s turn to have fun by unveiling a series of new smartphones.

There are three of them, namely the Galaxy A33, the Galaxy A53, and the Galaxy A72, all coming, as one would expect, with 5G support.

The Galaxy A33 5G uses a Super AMOLED 6.4-inch display, while the Galaxy A53 is fitted with a 6.5-inch panel that also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The same capability is available on the Galaxy A72 as well, though in this case, the display is even larger, measuring 6.7 inches.

Power on the Galaxy A33 and the Galaxy A53 comes from an octa-core processor with 2.4 GHz and 2.0 GHz, whereas the A72 is fitted with a 2.4 GHz and 1.8 GHz setup.

Going on sale next month

All three come with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and two storage choices, namely 128 and 256 GB.

The smaller models sport a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, while the A73 is equipped with an optical sensor placed under the screen. Samsung has used a 5,000 mAh battery on all models announced today, and all support 25W fast charging.

The Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A73 will go on sale on April 22, while the Galaxy A53 is scheduled to hit the shelves on April 1. Pricing will vary depending on the market.

“Galaxy A53 5G and A33 5G work seamlessly with other Galaxy devices for the full, connected Galaxy ecosystem experience. Audio options are expanded by connecting the Galaxy Buds series with a range of devices, including Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G. Available on Galaxy Buds Pro and coming soon to Galaxy Buds2 and Buds Live, users will be able to enjoy 360 Audio technology which delivers true, immersive, 3D sound. When it’s time to get productive, use Link to Windows to connect the new Galaxy A series to a Windows PC to copy and paste, transfer files and even answer calls or texts,” Samsung said.
