Great news for Android users, as Samsung has just released its proprietary mobile browser application in the Google Play Store. If you've been using a Galaxy smartphone before, then you already know that Samsung Internet is one of the fastest mobile browsers available on the market.

According to Samsung, its Internet Beta application will only be compatible with Galaxy and Nexus smartphones running Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher versions of the OS. However, many Android users report the application will work on just about any smartphone.

The bad news is the application is only available in some countries since it's still in beta. If you want to get it on your phone, you can try and find the APK file.

With the release of Samsung Internet Beta, the South Korean company plans to expand the availability of its application to additional devices. In addition, those who install the browser on their phones can provide feedback on the new features and improvements added, before Samsung adds them to the stable app.

Users will have early access to new features and improvements

The beta version of Samsung Internet comes with many important features such as web payment support, as well as the option to view 360-degree videos without having to use a Gear VR headset.

The South Korean company has also confirmed the application features the Amazon Shopping Assistant, which allows users to compare prices on the retailer's store. A video assistant that works like a picture-in-picture function is included too.

Furthermore, the first version of Samsung Internet Beta comes with DuckDuckGo search engine support, QR reader and content blockers. The latter allows third-party apps to provide filters for Content Blocking.

As mentioned earlier, Samsung Internet Beta is available for free through Google Play Store, but it's only been released in a few countries. If you download the APK file, then you should be able to use the new browser on your phone, even if it's not a Galaxy or Nexus device.
