We’ve known for a while that Samsung was working on new smartwatches, and given the launch is expected to take place as soon as the next month, this is just the right moment for a massive leak.

Well, super-reliable leaker Evan Blass (via 91mobiles) has shared a pack of renders that reveal the upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 alongside the all-new Pro model.

Codenamed Heart, the Galaxy Watch 5 looks really familiar for those who already purchased a Galaxy Watch 4. This is because Samsung isn’t changing too much in terms of design, so visually speaking, the new model will look very similar to the one it replaces.

The renders also indicate that Samsung is going to launch a 44mm version of the Galaxy Watch 5, but at the same time, don’t be too surprised if a smaller 40mm model is also prepared. This would allow the South Korean company to target a wider audience, and this would align with the previous strategy used for the older models.

WearOS 3.5 to power the new models

Without a doubt, the Pro model is going to be the big star of the show. Available in black and gray titanium, the Galaxy Watch Pro will be an upgraded model that will feature extra capabilities, including some specifically aimed to boost the health tracking side.

A larger battery will also be offered, and based on the renders, the device will come with the iconic rotating bezel that has become a signature feature for the Samsung Galaxy Watch.

The new Samsung smartwatches will run wearOS 3.5, as Samsung has given up on Tizen for Google’s very own wearable operating system. As per the company’s typical approach, the OneUI Watch 4.5 skin will be pre-loaded.

Samsung will offer both LTE and Bluetooth models, but at first glance, the Pro models could only be available with LTE.

No pricing information is available at this point, but expect additional details to be shared as we get closer to the launch date.
