Samsung released the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in a number of color options earlier this year and it seems that the company is preparing to release a Blue Coral option for its latest flagship. A render of the new variant was posted by Evan Blass.

The new Blue Coral Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will arrive in the US soon, but an exact release date wasn’t shared. The tweet says “US-bound Galaxy S8/+ in blue,” but it doesn’t reveal if the Blue Coral option will make its way to other markets as well. In addition, it’s unknown which US carriers will offer it.

Samsung currently offers the Galaxy S8 in Midnight Black on its US store and with a price tag starting at $724.99 or $30.21 per month for 24 months. The Galaxy S8+ unlocked is offered in the same color option on Samsung’s US store, but they can be found in Arctic Silver and Orchid Gray at various carriers and third-party retailers.

The Galaxy S7 edge also comes in a Blue Coral option

The first Samsung smartphone offered in Blue Coral was the Galaxy Note 7. The hue was one of the most popular for a Samsung phone, with the company noticing that customers found the new color quite appealing.

As a result, Samsung later released the Galaxy S7 edge in Blue Coral in the US and Europe. Therefore, it was expected for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ to receive the same color option.

In related news, Samsung has recently released a limited edition of the Galaxy S8 in partnership with Disney. The Galaxy S8 Pirates of the Caribbean edition was made available in China for the price of $880. It comes with a special retail box in the form of a chest, together with a faux gold ring and a holder. The limited edition Galaxy S8 also features a custom theme and a case with a skull sketch on the back.
