Good news for Samsung fans in India, as the handset maker has already sent out invitations for a launch event scheduled to take place on March 8.

Naturally, the South Korean company plans to launch its flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, which were previously unveiled at MWC 2016 last month.

Unfortunately, it's unclear when exactly the smartphones will be available for purchase, but we believe customers will be able to pre-order both flagships starting this week.

Although there are no details on pricing options, we don't expect Samsung to put lower prices on the Indian versions of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.

This means that the Galaxy S7 32GB should cost around $820 while the Galaxy S7 edge 32GB should be priced at around $900.

We also don't know what version of Galaxy S7/S7 edge Samsung plans to introduce in India since the South Korean company announced two variants with different chipsets: Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890.

Hybrid dual-SIM support versions might be introduced

Another aspect that will be clarified on March 8 will be whether or not Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will come with dual-SIM support.

If Samsung launches the dual-SIM variants of its flagship smartphones, then both will come with a hybrid dual-SIM feature which means that users will have to choose to insert a second SIM or an SD memory card.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge pre-orders might come with a free Samsung Gear VR in tow as the South Korean company launched this offer in just about every country where the flagships are available for purchase.

In case you plan to pre-order any of the two smartphones, you will be pleased to know that they will be available in Black Onyx, White Pearl, Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum. Hopefully, all four color options will be available in India.
