Samsung already sent out the Android 7.0 Nougat software update to its current flagships, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. However, the South Korean smartphone maker did come across some issues with the Nougat deployment and was forced to pause the rollout for a few days.

Samsung didn’t say what issues it encountered, but it’s not the only smartphone maker to be forced to halt the rollout of Nougat. Sony, ZTE and HTC have also recently paused the rollout due to unforeseen issues.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active running 7.0 Nougat was spotted on GFXBench and it recently received WiFi certification, according to SamMobile. This means that the S7 Active might be the next Samsung smartphone to receive the Nougat update.

Other Samsung phones will get the update soon

AT&T is exclusively offering the Galaxy S7 Active to its customers, which means that the rollout might not happen as fast as some might hope. AT&T could hold up to update in order to conduct further testing and make sure that the builds work properly. Unlocked smartphones almost exclusively receive updates much sooner than units offered through carriers.

After Samsung completes the 7.0 Nougat rollout to its 2016 flagships, the smartphone maker is expected to start pushing out the update to its other phones. The Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge Plus, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab A with S Pen, Galaxy S2 (LTE unlock), Galaxy A3, and Galaxy A8 are all said to receive the update until June 2017.

Android 7.0 Nougat brings many new features to Samsung users, including faster speeds for downloading apps and system software updates. It will offer a cleaner design for the Quick Panel section, with bundled notifications and quick reply features. Moreover, it will add multi-window support for users to separate apps in split-screen view. Samsung will also add a Performance Mode for users to extend battery life, as well as enhance processing speed and image quality.
