The rugged version of Samsung Galaxy S6 made its debut in the United States at AT&T, back in June. Even though the South Korean company announced the smartphone would be available in two versions, 32GB and 64GB, only the former was available for purchase at that time.

However, Samsung fans will be pleased to know that beginning this week, they will be able to pick up the 64GB version of Galaxy S6 Active via AT&T.

The bad news is that the smartphone costs $100 more than the 32GB model, so customers will have to come up with no less than $695 upfront for the Galaxy S6 Active 64GB.

On the bright side, AT&T also offers additional options to customers who can't afford the outright price of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active 64GB.

For example, the smartphone is also available for purchase for $230 with a new 2-year agreement. Also, the Galaxy S6 Active 64GB can also be had for $0 down on AT&T Next, starting from $23.17 per month.

It's available in white, blue and gray colors

If the Galaxy S6 Active had packed microSD card slot for memory expansion, then the amount of storage it comes with by default wouldn't have been so important.

But since the smartphone lacks microSD card slot, storage space will be limited to the default internal memory, in this case, either 32GB or 64GB.

Aside from that, the rugged version of Galaxy S6 also packs a larger 3,500 mAh battery, whereas the standard model comes with a 2,550 mAh battery.

Obviously, the smartphone is IP68 certified, which means it's dust and water resistant up to 1.5 meters and 30 minutes. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active also features MIL-STD-810G certification, which makes it resistant to salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, as well as transport and thermal shocks.
