The phone went on pre-order last month in Czech Republic

Some of you might remember Samsung's Galaxy S5 Neo smartphone that went on pre-order last month but never hit shelves.

Well, it looks like the South Korean company might have resurrected the device, which has been recently spotted in benchmark.

And it looks like the phone's hardware configuration hasn't been changed. The Galaxy S5 Neo was initially said to come with a homegrown Samsung Exynos 7580 chipset inside, and the new benchmark confirms the information once again.

Samsung's Exynos 7580 is said to accommodate an octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, as well as a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Codenamed Samsung SM-G903F, the Galaxy S5 Neo packs 16GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).

We also know that the device should sport a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

There's also a 16-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel selfie-centric snapper.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and a $500 price tag

Instead of Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Galaxy S5 Neo is now listed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which is the latest version of the operating system. We also expect it to feature the newest version of TouchWiz UI as well.

While there's no word on when exactly the smartphone will go on sale, at least we know that it might be priced at around $500 (€460) outright.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo was available for pre-order in Czech Republic about three weeks ago and the smartphone was priced at $490 (€450), but price tag may vary by region.

We doubt there will be an official announcement for when Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo will be available for purchase, but we will keep an eye out for any additional details so stay tuned for more on this one.
