Samsung is now giving the finishing touches to the next Galaxy S generation, with the device projected to be announced at some point in early 2023.

However, the closer we get to this unveiling, the more we learn about the smartphone through unofficial channels, with a new report revealing pretty much all the important specifications that we’re going to get on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

According to certification documents published on TENAA, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will carry the model number SM-G9180 and will be fitted with a 6.8-inch display with a QHD+ resolution with 3,088x1,440 pixels.

Powered by an octa-core processor, this Galaxy S23 Ultra is apparently running on an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip – it’s believed the same processor option would be released worldwide, as compared to the previous generations when only the Exynos model was available in international markets.

The documents indicate that the top-of-the-range Galaxy S23 Ultra would be equipped with 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, whereas the base version will sport 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

Of course, the smartphone will pack a setup of four different cameras, including a 200MP primary unit that will most likely sport massive improvements. Additionally, the Ultra will feature 10x optical zoom.

Just like the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the upcoming model will pack an under-display fingerprint sensor, as well as face recognition, though for the time being, it looks like Samsung would continue to bet big on fingerprint scanning for biometric authentication.

The power on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be provided by a 4,855 mAh battery, but as the aforementioned source notes, it will be advertised as a 5,000 mah unit. Needless to say, the provided autonomy should be enough for using the Galaxy S23 Ultra for one full day without the need for extra juice.
