The Galaxy S23 could be announced in December or January

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 is making good progress, so it’s no surprise that the device has already been spotted online.

The folks over at MySmartPrice spotted the Galaxy S23 on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, and just as expected, there are three models that are prepared for launch.

The new lineup will include, just like the current series, the Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra, all of which are expected to be announced earlier than usual.

While Samsung has so far remained tight-lipped on everything related to the debut of the Galaxy S23, it’s believed the smartphones could be announced at an event due in either December or early January. This is because Samsung wants to bring the device to the market earlier than usual, though it’s not yet clear just how earlier the company is planning to go.

Just like it happens with the current series, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is going to be the star of the show, as it will come with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. At this point, it looks like Samsung wants to go for the same approach as it did in the past and equip the S23 with a choice of two processors, depending on the market.

The United States, for instance, is expected to get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Samsung Galaxy S23, while the rest of the world should be provided with a model fitted with an Exynos 2300.

It’ll be interesting to see if the company has managed to reduce the performance gap between Qualcomm’s processor and its own Exynos, but if it didn’t, Samsung should prepare for another wave of criticism from international customers disappointed with the specs of Samsung’s processor.
