Dummy units images finally leak to the Internet

Samsung is giving the finishing touches to the Galaxy S23 series, as the device is expected to be announced in just a few weeks.

As a result, it’s not really a surprise that more information is reaching the web through all kinds of unofficial channels. And the latest unconfirmed tidbit but which seems likely to be the real deal is a batch of images showing what’s believed to be the upcoming Galaxy S23.

The dummy units that you see here provide us with an early look at the entire Galaxy S23 series, though at first glance, there’s nothing that we didn’t expect before.

In other words, the Galaxy S23 looks precisely how everybody expected it to look anyway, especially because Samsung will almost certainly go for minor refinements versus the current lineup already on the market.

This means the Galaxy S23 will resemble the Galaxy S22, so the South Koreans will focus mostly on upgrades under the hood. One notable change, for instance, is believed to be the switch to a Snapdragon process on all models, as Samsung plans to make this particular configuration available in all markets and not just in the United States and South Korea.

The move comes after criticism aimed at the performance of the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S devices, as the Snapdragon, which was faster and offered longer battery life, were only available in select markets.

As for the debut of the new models, Samsung is expected to take the wraps off the Galaxy S23 family in early February, as per the company’s typical schedule. People familiar with the matter previously said that the whole thing could happen even much earlier, but this plan seems less likely now, especially as the Galaxy S23 could also be hit by inflation and the rising costs of materials (which could eventually lead to price hikes as well).
