Samsung is projected to take the wraps off the next-generation Galaxy S models in just a few months, and the closer we get to this moment, the more information on the new devices makes its way to the web.

This time, it’s the battery capacity of two of the three upcoming models, namely the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+.

A report from SamMobile citing FCC documents reveals that the Galaxy S23 could come with a battery carrying model number EB-BS912ABY and sporting a capacity of approximately 3,900 mAh.

At the same time, the larger Galaxy S23+ could pack a model number EB-BS916ABY battery with a capacity of $4,700 mAh.

No information has been discovered on the Ultra though.

When is the Galaxy S23 lineup supposed to launch?

People familiar with the matter said on several occasions that Samsung wanted to launch the Galaxy S23 earlier than usual, essentially as it planned to bring its iPhone rival to the market faster than before and therefore provide it with a longer time of availability.

Some sources claimed the unveiling could take place as early as December, but of course, this date didn’t make much sense. Others believed the launch would take place just before CES 2023, which kicks off on January 5 in Las Vegas, and in many ways, this seemed to align with Samsung’s new plans.

But according to the latest information on this unveiling, the Unpacked event could take place in early February, with the sales to begin later the same month. This means Samsung isn’t necessarily in a rush to take the wraps off its new devices, as the company would stick with its typical schedule for the debut of new Galaxy S models.

It’s important to keep in mind that everything is in the rumor stage at this point and no confirmation exists on the aforementioned tidbits.
