The device was supposed to ship on February 25

Samsung took the wraps off its highly anticipated Galaxy S22 lineup earlier this month, and the company promised to start shipping the device to the very first customers on February 25.

Only the Ultra was supposed to go live this month, as the standard and the Galaxy S22+ models were pushed back to March because of obvious reasons.

And now it looks like it being among the first to pre-order the device is finally paying off, as Samsung has started shipping the Galaxy S22 Ultra to a bunch of lucky customers.

A bunch of customers in Europe have already received the device, while others claim they got notifications the phone is on its way to their provided addresses.

This means there’s a very good chance the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be in the hands of many customers before the estimated shipping date of February 25, and this shows that even Samsung itself is very eager to see people using its latest and greatest phone.

Delays for others

But according to a recent report, it now looks like the shipping is actually pushed back for some of the customers who weren’t necessarily in a rush to pre-order the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

In other words, if you weren’t among the first to pre-order the phone, there’s a chance the Galaxy S22 Ultra will take a little bit longer to arrive on your doorstep.

As it turns out, some customers would get the device in late March or even in April, as Samsung apparently has a hard time securing the necessary inventory to align the production with the demand. This seems to suggest the device is actually more successful than Samsung itself anticipated, but of course, it could also mean the company prepared only a limited supply before the launch.
