According to Samsung’s typical release calendar, the next-generation Galaxy S model is projected to be announced in February, while the actual sales of the device would kick off in March.

But people close to the matter claim the South Korean would actually update its plans for 2021 and the Galaxy S21 would launch earlier than anticipated.

How early? January is now said to be the month when the device would see daylight, and a new leak that occurred this week provides us with a closer look at the timing.

Jon Prosser, who has until leaked tons of stuff about Apple products, claims he got his hands on Samsung Galaxy S21 release information, and once again, the data he shared points to a January unveiling.

Full launch in January next year

More specifically, the official Galaxy S21 announcement will go live on January 14, 2021, most likely as part of an Unpacked event that will take place online. Samsung will provide the world with a closer look at everything the new Galaxy S21 brings to the table, and there’s a chance some hands-on time would be offered to journalists in advance.

Interestingly enough, the pre-order program will kick off the same day, which means that you’ll be able to buy your Galaxy S21 minutes after the event comes to an end. However, the shipping will only start on January 29, Jon Prosser claims, so you’ll still have to wait some two more months before you can actually hold the Galaxy S21 in hand.

The South Koreans will launch three different Galaxy S21 versions next year, namely the standard configuration, the Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The color lineup will include six different options, though some would only be available on specific configurations, and they will include black, white, grey, silver, violet, and pink.
