Samsung Galaxy S10 is the next big launch in the mobile phone market, and the closer we get to the public unveiling, the bigger the number of reports disclosing details about it.

The most recent leak happens via Korean newspaper The Bell, which reveals that Samsung is working on four different models for the Galaxy S10 lineup, each with its very own camera setup.

Some of the specifications included in this report made the rounds several times before, so there’s a chance they are accurate, as multiple sources corroborating the same information is without a doubt evidence that Samsung is at least considering these features.

Four different models

The base model, which the cited source refers to as Galaxy S10 Lite, will feature a dual-camera configuration on the back and a single front-facing camera. The secondary camera on the rear will offer optical zoom and will be a substantial upgrade over the current setup on the Galaxy S9 (which comes with just one main camera).

The next model is the one called Galaxy S10 and which will also boast a dual-camera configuration on the back with optical zoom support, but in addition, it’ll also include a dual front-facing camera too.

Then, it’s the upgraded version with a triple rear camera, and it’s believed that in addition to optical zoom support, it’ll also sport a wide-angle sensor. Two different cameras for selfies and video calls will also be offered, one of which would boast wide angle support too.

The fourth model is the Galaxy S10 with 5G, which may arrive at a later time, according to previous reports. Today’s report claims the device will come with no less than four different cameras on the back, so in addition to all of the above, it’ll also bring us a time-of-flight 3D sensing sensor, most likely for AR. On the front, it’ll be equipped with two selfie cameras as well.

It goes without saying that some skepticism is recommended at this point, but if this the approach that Samsung will finally embrace, there’s absolutely no doubt the Galaxy S10 will bet big on the camera performance.
