Samsung is projected to take the wraps off the new Galaxy Note20 on August 5, with sales to start later the same month.

In other words, full information about this new device should be available in some two weeks, but until this happens, here are new details coming straight from the rumor mill.

A report from Korean site Yonhap indicates that Samsung has no intention to make the Galaxy Note20 more expensive than the model it replaces despite all the hardware upgrades that are expected on the new device.

In other words, the Note20 will be priced exactly the same as the Galaxy Note10, according to the report, which can only be good news for everybody who wanted to purchase the new Samsung flagship.

What this means in terms of pricing is that the base Galaxy Note20 could become available for $999, while the Galaxy Note20 Ultra, which is the larger and upgraded model, could be priced at a little over $1,200.

Launch on August 5

While this obviously puts the Galaxy Note20 pricing in the super-premium territory, this isn’t necessarily a surprise, as this is the latest and the greatest in terms of phones from Samsung. Considered the most powerful rival to the iPhone, the Note20 obviously comes with massive upgrades over the previous generation.

And according to leaks that have made the headlines in the last few weeks, one highlight is an upgraded flat AMOLED screen that will support a 120Hz refresh rate.

What’s more, the flat display means that the upgraded S Pen could be capable of doing even more, making things like drawing and writing feel more natural. The display will use Gorilla Glass 7 protection, and the battery would receive a welcome upgrade as well in order to provide at least one full day of battery per charge.
