The debut of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is just around the corner, and the closer we get to the official unveiling, the more details make the rounds.

While the South Korean firm itself has leaked the device earlier today, a new report coming from Samsung’s domestic market also provides us with a hint at how much the new Note 9 may cost.

Technically, Samsung plans to keep its phablet in the same price range as its predecessor, but at the same time, the company also intends to offer better value for the money. This means that for the price you paid for a Note 8, you get more storage on the Note 9, as Samsung wants to make its device a bit more appealing to customers also from a pricing perspective.

Note 9 pricing

According to the linked source, the base Note 9 could cost 1,090,000 won, which in US dollars means approximately $970 for the 128GB version. A 512GB configuration will also be offered for 1,350,000 won, so it may end up costing as much as $1,200.

People familiar with Samsung’s plans have suggested that the company may launch special offers for the Note 9, which means the device could be temporarily available at a lower price.

At the same time, it’s believed that the South Korean firm might release special bundles that would include the Note 9 and a smartwatch, either the Gear S3 or the upcoming Galaxy Watch, again as limited-time offers.

The Note 9 itself won’t come with too many changes versus the Galaxy S9, and Samsung bets big on the S Pen. The stylus is likely to include a revamped feature lineup that includes Bluetooth support and controls for a wide variety of tasks, like music playback. It could boast a battery that is automatically recharged when it’s plugged into the phone.
