Samsung reportedly preparing Deep Blue Note 8

Samsung will launch the new Galaxy Note 8 in less than a month, and new unconfirmed information indicates that the device would be available at least three different colors, namely Black, Orchid Grey, and Deep Blue.

As far as Deep Blue is concerned, it is expected to be a darker share of Coral Blue, a version that Samsung itself launched last year with the explosive Galaxy Note 7 and which eventually made it to the Galaxy S series as well, with both the S7 edge and the S8 lineup getting it.

While exact details are not available just yet, Deep Blue is a name that certainly brings back memories for Apple fans who hoped to see the very same color launching on the iPhone 7 last fall.

The Deep Blue iPhone

People close to the matter revealed back in mid-2016 that Apple was working on a brand-new color version of the iPhone, with many hinting that the company was holding it back until the fall when it launched the new iPhone 7.

Seen in several concepts and in alleged leaks that more or less proved to be fake, the Deep Blue iPhone never came to be, with Apple sticking with its traditional colors, but with adding two new matte and glossy black versions.

As far as the chances to get a Deep Blue version on the iPhone 8 go, there’s almost no hope this is going to happen, with Apple more likely to introduce a white iPhone. Information in this regard, however, has been rather limited, despite that we’re getting closer to the launch of the device in September.

In the meantime, Samsung seems to be more committed to offering a Deep Blue version of its flagship device, but the full info in this case will also be revealed at a later time. The Note 8 will be unveiled on August 23 as part of a dedicated event in New York.
