14 DAY TRIAL // It’s been only a month since Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge went on sale, and we’re already talking about the company’s next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 6.
The first report on Samsung Galaxy Note 6 claims the smartphone will include 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage inside. More rumors emerged last week, when sources familiar with Samsung’s plans claimed the phablet would feature IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, as well as an iris scanner.
Today, another rumor about the upcoming flagship has leaked online, and it seems very hard to believe, especially for those who are seeing Samsung as a conservative company that doesn’t like to take any risks.
However, according to a report coming from SamMobile, Samsung plans to include a 64-bit Kryo 2.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor inside the Galaxy S6 Note, which would definitely compete with its own Exynos 8890 chipset that is now part of the Galaxy S7/S7 edge.
Support for 25-megapixel cameras included
Another almost unbelievable piece of information revealed in the report is the fact that Galaxy Note 6 could pack no less than 8GB of RAM. We already have smartphones that feature 6GB of RAM, but they aren’t mainstream yet and can only be purchased in China.
The powerful Snapdragon 823 processor would be paired with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit clocked at 720MHz while Qualcomm’s chipset can support up to 25-megapixel cameras.
Still, it’s hard to believe that Samsung will include a 25-megapixel camera inside the Galaxy Note 6 since the 12-megapixel camera on in the Galaxy S7 has been relatively successful among Android fans.
Aside from that, rumor has it the Galaxy Note 6 will boast a large 5.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.
The listing of these hardware specs is probably meant to raise the hype around Samsung’s Galaxy Note 6 flagship, but that doesn’t mean that some of them might not be true. Time will tell what Samsung has decided for its Galaxy Note lineup, so stay tuned for more on this one.
