Four different Note models could see daylight this year

Samsung wants the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 to be a monster in all regards, so in addition to a 5G version, the new phablet could also come with a significantly larger battery.

Twitter user Ice Universe, who has a good track on mobile scoops, claims the Galaxy Note 10 Pro, which is believed to be the top Note coming this year, could feature a 4,500 mAh battery. This is 500 mAh larger than the one on the current Note 9.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, which is right now the top S10 that you can buy (only in select markets though) also comes with a 4,500 mAh battery.

Specifics aren’t available, and it goes without saying that you should take this report with a healthy dose of skepticism, but it makes sense for Samsung to use a larger battery on its new flagship phone.

Four Galaxy Note 10 models on their way

The Galaxy Note 9 impressed with its 4,000 mAh battery, offering more than one day per charge, despite its 6.4-inch display. Samsung wants this performance to be maintained on the new generation, and because an even larger display is expected to be used on the Pro model, as well as 5G, a battery upgrade is something that makes total sense.

Samsung could expand the Galaxy Note lineup from one to no less than four different models. The South Korean firm is believed to be working on two different versions with 6.28-inch screens and two other models with 6.75-inch displays, with the latter often referred to as Galaxy Note 10 Pro.

Both the standard version and the Pro would include 5G variants which would only be available in select markets where such networks are already available, including South Korea and the United States.

The debut of the new Note models should take place in the summer, possibly in August.
