Samsung’s unannounced Galaxy J3 (2017) has just received FCC certification, signaling that a release is very close. The smartphone’s specs and some details are revealed in the listing, including the fact that it will come in both single and dual-SIM variants.

The Galaxy J3 (2017) appears to feature a 2,400mAh battery, a higher capacity compared to last year’s model that had a 2,600mAh juicer. Moreover, the smartphone will come with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 430 processor and 2GB of RAM.

Last year’s Galaxy J3 (2016) featured an Exynos 3475 with Mali T720 graphics processing unit, together with just 1.5GB of RAM, which means that Samsung will bring a performance upgrade to this year’s edition.

Rear camera capacity on the Galaxy J7 (2017) will reach 12MP

When it comes to the smartphone’s rear camera capacity, the Galaxy J3 (2017) will feature a 12MP sensor, compared to the 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash on its predecessor. In addition, the Galaxy J3 (2017) will most likely come with a LED flash on the back and a 5MP selfie snapper that won’t see any notable improvements compared to last year’s edition. Samsung has yet to reveal when the Galaxy J3 (2017) will make its debut, but considering that the smartphone has received its FCC certification, it shouldn’t be long now.

The Galaxy J3 (2017) will most likely be made available in a number of countries, including the United States. The phone will make its way to T-Mobile, AT&T and a few other US carriers, just like the Galaxy J7 (2017) did. The Galaxy J7 (2017) was launched at a number of US carriers under different retail names, including the Galaxy J7 Perx or Galaxy J7 Sky Pro.

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch display with 720p resolution, while the battery capacity reaches 3,300mAh, larger than on the unannounced Galaxy J3 (2017). The device also has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
