Samsung's Galaxy C9 will be the newest addition to the Galaxy C series and it shouldn't be long until the smartphone is announced publicly. The Galaxy C9 has already been listed on Zauba, which means that the official announcement could be made next month or in November.

Tech Updates has just spotted the Galaxy C9 on benchmarking site Geekbench, and the smartphone appears to come with 6GB of RAM. The RAM capacity is even higher than on Samsung flagships, which is quite impressive.

However, upcoming smartphones featured on benchmarking websites do undergo some changes before the final version is released, so the final product might not come with 6GB of RAM after all, although there's still a slight chance that it might.

The Galaxy C9 could come with Snapdragon 652 SoC

The Galaxy C9 carries the code number SM-C9000 and was imported to India for testing recently. The smartphone is listed on Geekbench as being powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 652 MSM8976 processor and it seems to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The device recorded a 1304 score during the single-core test and 4366 during the multi-core one.

While the smartphone is expected to be officially unveiled soon, there's no information to indicate that it could be released outside China.

Aside from the Galaxy C9, the Galaxy smartphone series could welcome two new devices soon, the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro. Not much information is known about these two devices, but they are expected to feature more powerful specs compared to other predecessors, like the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 released this May.

These two came with 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal battery. The Galaxy C5 ran a Snapdragon 617 processor and a 2,600mAh battery, while the Galaxy C7 featured Snapdragon 625 SoC and had a 3,300mAh battery.

The Galaxy C9 should arrive soon and it will be the premium model in the Galaxy C series, provided that Samsung indeed incorporates 6GB of RAM in the phone.
