Samsung announced the Galaxy C9 Pro a couple of months ago and the company has made the smartphone available only in China for now. The powerful mid-ranger is said to arrive to global markets as well, but no official confirmation has been made.

Upon its launch, the Galaxy C9 Pro was made available in two color variants, Gold and Rose Gold in China. Now it seems that Samsung added a new variant of the smartphone, but the sleek black model is only available in China for now, according to SamMobile.

The black variant doesn’t include any other color elements, it’s just a dark shade of black that covers its metal back panel and sides.

6GB of RAM and a 6-inch Super AMOLED display

The Galaxy C9 Pro is one of the most powerful smartphones in the series, featuring an impressive 6-inch Super AMOLED display and 6GB of RAM. The device runs an octa-core Snapdragon 653 SoC, coupled with Adreno 510, and comes with 64 GB of internal memory.

Aside from this, it has a 16MP camera in the back, with f/1.9 aperture, phase detection and dual-led. Front camera capacity is 16MP as well, with the same aperture and the ability to record videos with 1080p resolution.

The smartphone draws power from a very capable 4,000mAh removable battery, enough to keep the lights on for a considerable amount of time. The Galaxy C9 Pro has a fingerprint scanner in the front and was released running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but it will surely get an update to Android 7.0 Nougat soon.

The Galaxy C9 Pro currently sells for about $470 in China and the international variant recently received WiFi certification, meaning that it might be released to other markets as well. At this point, it’s quite unsure when Samsung will make the phone available globally, but new information will surely surface soon.
