A few days ago, we reported that Samsung could make the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro available next month, after the two phones were expected to be announced this December. Samsung has reportedly changed its mind and decided that a January release would be more suitable.

Apparently, the Galaxy C5 Pro (SM-C5010) recently received certification from TENAA, the Chinese regulatory authority, according to a new report. The other phone in the series, the Galaxy C7 Pro, also passed through TENAA earlier this month.

The two smartphones are said to be announced in China first, one week before the Chinese Spring Festival, held every year in January. It’s unknown if the Galaxy C5 Pro and C7 Pro will make their way to other markets as well.

The device might have a 16MP rear camera, with 16MP in the front for snapping selfies and conducting video calls. Moreover, it will have a fingerprint scanner and draw power from a 3,000mAh battery. The Galaxy C5 Pro might measure 145.7 x 71.4 x 6.95 mm and weigh about 143 grams. According to the spec sheet, it will have 4G LTE support and Bluetooth 4.2.

The Galaxy C7 Pro will have a larger AMOLED display of 5.7 inches with full HD resolution. It is said to have the same Snapdragon 626 processor, coupled with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal memory. Battery capacity will be larger at 3,300mAh and the device could run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. More details about the two phones will surely be revealed upon their launch in January 2017.
